Erin Breen DMD

Dr. Erin Breen earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry from the University of Virginia. She graduated magna cum laude from Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine in 2015. In 2018, she completed her specialty training in Periodontology and received a Master of Medical Sciences degree in Oral Biology from Harvard School of Dental Medicine.

Dr. Breen has conducted extensive research at the Forsyth Institute, focusing on the mechanisms behind the resolution of inflammation and the oral-systemic connection in chronic inflammatory diseases, such as type II diabetes.

Since September 2018, Dr. Breen has served as a Clinical Assistant Professor at Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine, where she teaches periodontics and implant surgery. In 2021, she was awarded the AAP Foundation Fellowship to the Institute for Teaching and Learning. The following year, in 2022, she was nominated and inducted as a Fellow of the American College of Dentists. Dr. Breen is a diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology and an active member of the American Academy of Periodontology and the Massachusetts Dental Society.

Outside of her professional life, Dr. Breen enjoys reading, traveling, and cooking.
